About the Partnership
An industry-led table — built to last.
LCHSP is organized under the Next Gen Sector Partnership model. We are not a coalition, a task force, or a grant-funded initiative. We are a standing industry table that convenes the people who hire, train, and retain Lane County's healthcare workforce.
The model
The Next Gen Sector Partnership.
Next Gen Sector Partnerships are an approach developed by the Collaborative Economics network and adopted by workforce systems across the country. They flip the traditional model: instead of government convening industry, industry convenes itself — and the public system adapts to support it.
In Lane County, that means employer-led committees set the direction, and the backbone team keeps the work moving between quarterly convenings.
Industry sets the agenda
Employers identify priorities. Community partners act on them — not the reverse.
No one owns the work
The partnership owns it. Backbone organizations share the staffing load.
Action, not another meeting
Every convening produces commitments. Every committee has 60–90 day goals.
Place-based and specific
We solve Lane County problems with Lane County capacity. No generic playbooks.
How we're organized
Industry leads. Committees act. Backbone supports.
Backbone team
Organizations sharing one staff function.
Backbone support means keeping the work coherent between quarterly convenings: scheduling, note-taking, data, communications, and follow-through. No single org owns the partnership — the backbone shares it.
Lane County Medical Society
Physician and clinical practice voice, retention and workforce.
Lane Workforce Partnership
Workforce system integration, funding, and public pipeline.
Collaborative EDO
Economic development alignment, employer engagement, sector strategy.
New Partner TBA
Pending · Aug 2026Healthcare sector strategist role and academic partnership, anticipated August 2026.
Note: Lane Community Health Council, a founding backbone partner, is dissolving in 2026. The partnership continues with the roster above, with academic-side backbone capacity expanding through New Partner TBA.
Open role · Industry co-lead
We're looking for a second industry co-lead.
Co-leads are senior healthcare employers who help shape the partnership's direction, co-chair quarterly convenings, and keep the work focused on industry priorities. A 6–10 hour-per-month commitment.
